American rapper Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, recently shared a surprising story: he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at a Donald Trump rally at Madison Square Garden in New York. Speaking on The Breakfast Club, 50 Cent confirmed he was approached to perform his hit “Many Men (Wish Death)” at the event supporting the Republican presidential candidate.
This wasn’t the only lucrative offer he’s rejected. The rapper revealed he was also invited to perform at this year’s Republican National Convention for a similar fee, but he turned down both opportunities due to his reservations about getting involved in politics.
I didn’t even go far…I didn’t talk to them about that kinda stuff. I’m afraid of politics,” he admitted. “When you get involved, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.
For 50 Cent, it seems no amount of money can persuade him to step into the political spotlight.
