Full List: ‘Lisabi,’ ‘Seven Doors,’ and ‘Anikulapo’ Dominate 2025 AMVCA Nominations

The 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) nominations are out, with Lisabi: The Uprising and Seven Doors leading the race. Directed by Adedimeji LateefLisabi: The Uprisingreceived a remarkable 10 nominations, including Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography.

Close behind, Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors earned eight nominations, including the newly introduced Best Score/Music category. Other notable nominees include Skeleton CoastAnikulapo: Rise of the Spectre, and Inside Life.

The awards will feature 28 categories, with a mix of voting and non-voting awards. A panel of judges led by renowned filmmaker Femi Odugbemi will determine the winners in 18 categories, while fans will vote for the remaining 10 categories on the Africa Magic website until May 4.

The grand event is set to take place over four days, from May 7 to 10, 2025, celebrating exceptional achievements in African entertainment.
