After nearly three dazzling decades at the helm of Versace, Donatella Versace is stepping down as creative director—and she’s doing it in the only way she knows how: bold, glamorous, and unforgettable.
For her final campaign leading the iconic Italian fashion house, Donatella has pulled in an all-star cast of supermodels and fashion icons to celebrate the end of an era. Think Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Kristen McMenamy, Amber Valletta, Natasha Poly, and more—all starring in the Fall 2025 collection.
“With this campaign we tried to create something that gives a message of fun, love and looking forward,” Donatella shared. “These images were created with soul, they were created with friendship.”
Photographed by legendary duo Mert and Marcus, the campaign pays tribute to the house’s fearless aesthetic, Donatella’s creative legacy, and her deep bond with the fashion world’s elite.

A Star-Studded Send-Off
Joining Moss and Schiffer in Donatella’s final lineup are fashion powerhouses Saskia de Brauw, Liu Wen, Mica Argañaraz, Anok Yai, Mila Van Eeten, and Jacqui Hooper. The shoot isn’t just about high fashion—it’s a celebration of friendship, creativity, and legacy.
The designer, who stepped into the role after the tragic death of her brother Gianni Versace in 1997, said this final collection tells a deeply personal story:
“Every collection is a story, and this is the story of Versace. I’m always ready for the next chapter.”

A New Era Begins at Versace
With Donatella stepping into a Chief Brand Ambassador role, the torch is being passed to Dario Vitale, the former Miu Miu design director. The transition is part of a “thoughtful succession plan,” according to Capri Holdings, who acquired Versace in 2018.
“Donatella has played an integral role in the company’s global success,” said CEO John D. Idol. “We are confident that Dario’s vision will continue to drive the brand’s growth.”
Donatella, now 70, remains deeply connected to the brand’s future, promising to champion Versace’s philanthropic initiatives and support the next generation of design talent.
“Versace is in my DNA and always in my heart,” she declared. “It has been the greatest honour of my life to carry on Gianni’s legacy.”
