Rare stage costumes and memorabilia to be sold to support the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation
Some of Whitney Houston’s most unforgettable fashion pieces are going under the hammer — and for a good cause.
On August 11, Julien’s Auctions will host a charity auction in Los Angeles and online, featuring key items from the late singer’s wardrobe, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation. The foundation, established in Whitney’s honor, supports youth empowerment initiatives around the world.
Among the standout items on the auction block:
• A casino-themed Bob Mackie jacket
• A gold Marc Bouwer gown and matching turban worn during her 1994 performance in South Africa
• Two pairs of Dolce & Gabbana shoes from her 1999 My Love Is Your Love world tour
• A leopard print dress and coat combo
• A yellow dress worn during her appearance on Dancing With the Stars
Fans and collectors will also be able to bid on rare memorabilia, including:
• An RIAA multi-platinum plaque for her 1992 classic I Will Always Love You
• A faux crocodile jewelry box
• A novelty slot machine
Pat Houston, the executor of Whitney’s estate and president of the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, reflected on the emotional process of curating the pieces.
“For Whitney’s 40th anniversary, we have some of her unique and one-of-a-kind items and garments that Whitney wore on stage, at A-list events, and even at home. Gathering those items brought back so many memories. We look forward to previewing this year’s collection with her supporters globally.”
Giles Moon, head of music at Julien’s Auctions, also celebrated the partnership:
“This is a rare opportunity for fans and collectors to own iconic pieces from Whitney’s life and career while supporting the important work of her foundation.”
The auction promises to be a meaningful celebration of Whitney’s legacy — not just as a music legend but as a philanthropist and fashion icon.
