The Soundside Music Festival, which promised an electrifying two-day lineup featuring The Killers, Weezer, Hozier, and Vampire Weekend, has been abruptly cancelled, leaving fans stunned and scrambling for answers.
The festival was scheduled to take place on September 27–28, 2025, at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. However, a terse message posted to the festival’s official website confirmed its cancellation:
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Soundside Music Festival has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded to the original method of payment in as little as 30 days depending on your bank’s processing time.”
No further explanation was provided, sparking a wave of speculation online. The silence from organizers has only fueled frustration, especially considering the high-profile nature of the event.
Alongside the headliners, the festival lineup also included Djo, Japanese Breakfast, The Backseat Lovers, Remi Wolf, Alex Warren, and The Last Dinner Party, all of whom were expected to draw a large and diverse crowd.
This is not the first time the Soundside Festival has faced controversy. In 2024, Foo Fighterspulled out just days before their performance, a decision linked to frontman Dave Grohl’s public revelation that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage. While no reason was officially given at the time, Grohl’s personal admission cast a shadow over the event and prompted widespread media attention.
Now, with a second major disruption in as many years and no transparency from organizers, fans are questioning the festival’s future—and whether Soundside can recover its reputation.
For now, ticketholders are being advised to monitor their bank accounts for refunds and follow official channels for updates, though many say the damage—both emotional and reputational—has already been done.
