PJ Washington Child Support Order Revealed at $5,500 Monthly
Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington has been ordered to pay $5,500 a month in child support to influencer Brittany Renner for their 4-year-old son, Paul Jermaine Washington III, according to new court documents obtained by TMZ Sports.
The PJ Washington child support order was finalized through a consent order entered in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, in November 2024. The documents reveal Washington also agreed to pay a lump sum of $130,000 to satisfy “any and all existing child support accruing” before the order was issued.
This revelation puts to rest years of internet speculation about the financial arrangement between the former couple. Viral rumors in 2021 falsely claimed Washington was paying $200,000 per month in child support, leading to widespread mockery of the NBA player online. Renner herself previously denied those claims on social media, stating in 2024 that the actual amount was significantly lower.

The PJ Washington child support case gained renewed attention after a heated custody exchange between Washington and Renner went viral last month. The public dispute highlighted ongoing tensions in their co-parenting relationship, which began after they broke up following their son’s birth in March 2021.
Washington, who signed a three-year, $90 million contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks, earns approximately $30 million annually. The $5,500 monthly payment represents a fraction of his NBA salary, contradicting earlier speculation that he was paying excessive amounts in child support.
The consent order approach means both parties agreed to the terms without litigation, suggesting a mutual resolution despite their contentious public relationship. According to The Shade Room, the arrangement covers their son’s basic needs and reflects standard child support calculations based on Washington’s income and North Carolina guidelines.
