The UK’s annual celebration of grassroots music and culture, Independent Venue Week (IVW) 2026, has officially named the groundbreaking rock duo, Nova Twins, as its Artist Ambassadors. Amy Love and Georgia South, known for their powerful sound and genre-redefining independence, will front the nationwide event, which runs from Monday, January 26, to Sunday, February 1, 2026.
Nova Twins earned the prestigious role due to their relentless commitment to touring and building their fanbase in the very venues IVW champions. They have been widely praised by industry heavyweights, including Tom Morello and Elton John, for their fierce creativity. As ambassadors, the duo will perform an exclusive, special live show during the week, with further details expected to be announced soon.
IVW Founder and CEO Sybil Bell highlighted the band’s significance, calling them a “true force of nature” and a “testament to live music’s power to break down barriers.” Bell praised the duo’s focus on “Actual Intelligence”—talent and in-person connections—in a time of increasing AI discussion. The Twins have consistently championed change, including campaigning for a dedicated MOBO Awards alternative music category.
With over 200 independent venues expected to participate, Nova Twins are set to lead the charge in encouraging music fans to support the vital ecosystem of small, independent UK music spaces. Their appointment ensures that the 2026 celebration will continue IVW’s mission of safeguarding the future of live music’s foundation.
