Rod Wave Atlanta Arrest: Rapper Charged With 14 Counts Including Assault and Gun Possession

Chart-topping rapper Rod Wave was arrested and booked into Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, facing a stunning total of 14 charges. The Rod Wave Atlanta Arrest, which saw the rapper surrender to authorities, included multiple serious felony counts, notably Aggravated Assault, possessing and aiming a gun at someone, reckless conduct, and criminal damage to property.

The charges stem from an alleged incident at his Milton, Georgia, home on April 21, 2025. Police initially responded to a 911 call reporting a “possible domestic disturbance.” Subsequent investigation by the Milton Police Department led to the obtaining of arrest warrants for the rapper, whose legal name is Rodarius Green. Police reports detailed finding luxury cars with bullet holes and other signs of a disturbance and burglary on the property.

Despite the gravity of the charges, Rod Wave was released on bond totaling approximately $55,000 shortly after turning himself in. His legal team, led by high-profile attorney Drew Findling, immediately challenged the accusations. Findling asserted that there was “no truth to these charges,” claiming that Rod Wave was, in fact, the victim of a burglary and had committed no crimes himself in the incident.

The Rod Wave Atlanta Arrest marks another highly public legal battle for the 26-year-old rapper, whose career has frequently been overshadowed by legal issues, including a dismissed domestic battery charge in 2022. As his legal team prepares to fight the charges, the focus will shift to how the case impacts the continued production and release of new music from the popular artist.
