Meta’s social platform, Threads, has rolled out a new suite of updates designed specifically to support audio creators. The new Threads Podcast Creator Features aim to position the app as the central hub for discussion around popular shows, filling a gap often spread across fragmented social platforms. The rollout began on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
The primary new tools focus on boosting show visibility. Podcasters can now add a dedicated link to their profile, allowing for single-tap access to their show. Furthermore, any podcast links shared in the feed will receive enhanced visual previews, including colourful backgrounds and custom thumbnails, making them easier to spot and click.
Meta confirmed that this launch is only “phase one” of a broader commitment. Threads plans to roll out deeper Threads Podcast Creator Features over the coming year, including better analytics and tools to help listeners discover new shows based on their conversation interests. This strategy is an attempt to capture the lucrative fan-forum layer of the podcast industry.
By giving creators these powerful promotion tools, Threads clarifies that it is not attempting to become a distribution service like Spotify or YouTube. Instead, the goal is to drive conversation and community engagement, ensuring that for fans and hosts alike, Threads becomes the new go-to platform for talking about their favorite audio content.
