Reality star Kim Kardashian expressed shock and disbelief after celebrity psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen claimed her brain scan showed areas of low activity in her frontal lobes. The dramatic moment, featured on the November 27, 2025, episode of The Kardashians, showed Kardashian immediately rejecting the results.
“That just can’t be. It just can’t. I’m not accepting that,” Kardashian stated upon seeing what the doctor referred to as “holes” indicating low blood flow in her scan. She then vowed to get on a plan to “figure this out” because she has “sh*t to do.”
Doctor Links Finding to Chronic Stress
Dr. Amen, who previously scanned the brains of Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, clarified that the scan did not indicate a high risk for Alzheimer’s disease and called her overall brain “beautiful” and “extraordinary in being positive.”
However, he linked the reduced function in her frontal lobes—the area responsible for planning and stress management—to the chronic stress she is under, particularly from her preparation for the difficult California bar exam. The low activity, he suggested, would make managing that stress even harder.
This scan came just one week after Kardashian revealed she received a separate aneurysm diagnosis from a Prenuvo full-body scan, which doctors also attributed to stress. The controversial nature of Dr. Amen’s SPECT scan methodology has been debated among medical professionals.
