Son Heung-min Tottenham Farewell: Legend Returns for Emotional Goodbye on Dec 9

Tottenham Hotspur fans are set for an emotional reunion as club legend Son Heung-min prepares to return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next week for a proper, personal farewell. The South Korean superstar, who departed for LAFC in August, will make his highly anticipated comeback on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, ahead of the UEFA Champions League fixture against SK Slavia Praha.

Son, who spent a decade at the heart of Spurs, making 454 appearances and scoring 173 goals (fifth all-time), expressed his joy at the opportunity. “When I announced my difficult decision to leave Spurs in the summer, it was in Korea and I never got a proper chance to say goodbye to fans at the stadium,” he stated. “Now I am so happy because I am going to come back… and be able to tell the Spurs fans in person just how much their support and love over 10 years has meant to me.”

His return promises to be a celebratory affair. To honor his status as an undisputed club legend, a new street mural dedicated to Son has already begun on Tottenham High Road, the iconic thoroughfare leading up to the stadium. The artwork’s design was personally chosen by Son and is expected to be completed before his appearance.

The Son Heung-min Tottenham Farewell will allow supporters to give a fitting tribute to the player who captained the club to a UEFA Europa League title in May 2025. His emotional on-pitch address will undoubtedly be a poignant moment, celebrating his illustrious tenure and connecting directly with the fanbase one last time.
