Social media activist, Martins Ortse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has alleged that popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, was arrested on Monday by security authorities at the Seme border. According to VDM, Bobrisky was attempting to flee to Benin Republic to avoid an ongoing House of Representatives investigation.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, VDM claimed, “Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by Nigerian immigration.”
This development follows a recent audio recording released by VDM, in which Bobrisky allegedly confessed to bribing EFCC officials with ₦15 million. In the same recording, Bobrisky claimed he avoided serving a six-month jail term in Kirikiri prison due to the influence of his “godfather.”
The House of Representatives initiated an investigative hearing regarding these allegations, but Bobrisky failed to attend, citing illness as the reason for his absence.
