Burna Boy Teases Fans with Possible Shaboozey Collaboration, Setting Stage for Cross-Genre Hit

Burna Boy has sent fans into a frenzy with a possible new collaboration with American-Nigerian country music sensation Shaboozey. The two artists were spotted together in the studio, fueling speculation of an upcoming track that could bring together Burna Boy’s Afrobeats flair with Shaboozey’s unique country style.

Shaboozey is riding high as one of 2024’s breakout stars, especially after his chart-topping hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for multiple weeks. A joint project with Burna Boy promises an exciting fusion of Afrobeats and country music, sparking anticipation among fans of both artists eager to see this cross-genre collaboration come to life.

Despite only releasing one single this year, “Higher,” which topped the TurnTable Top 100, Burna Boy has kept busy. He’s contributed to several tracks, including the hit “Twala Bam” with TiTom and Yuppe, as well as a feature on Coldplay’s “We Pray” alongside Little Simz. Just recently, his two-day “Headliners Only” concert saw him share the stage with American-Senegalese icon Akon, giving fans a preview of a track from his upcoming album. Another song from the album, “Empty Chairs,” has already been teased, and fans are eagerly awaiting the album’s release, expected in 2025.

With a potential Shaboozey collab on the horizon, Burna Boy is poised to deepen his impact in the U.S., where his last album, Love, Damini, recently reached Gold status with the RIAA. This partnership could further solidify his standing as a global force in music, pushing his genre-blending style to new heights.
