Tragic Loss: Dimeji Ajibola, Director of ‘Shanty Town,’ Passes Away

The Nigerian film industry is mourning the loss of celebrated filmmaker and director Dimeji Ajibola, known for his remarkable work on the hit series Shanty Town. His passing has left a significant void, as Ajibola was celebrated for his unique ability to weave traditional African storytelling with modern digital artistry.

The news of his death first broke on Instagram through actor Bolanle Ninalowo, who expressed his sorrow in a heartfelt tribute: “I love you brother and I will miss you @dimejiajibola. May God heal your family and loved ones. Till we meet again, dido vox. Rest on Champ.”

Fellow Nollywood actor Samuel Olatunji also confirmed the heartbreaking news, reflecting on their friendship
