AMIRI FC Barcelona Partnership Makes Fashion History Deal

FC Barcelona announced a groundbreaking five-year partnership with Los Angeles luxury fashion house AMIRI making the brand its official formalwear partner through the 2029/30 season.

The AMIRI FC Barcelona partnership marks the first time the Spanish club has designated an official formalwear collaborator, bringing American luxury aesthetics to one of Europe’s most decorated football teams.

Founder and creative director Mike Amiri will design custom tailored suiting for both the men’s and women’s first teams including stars like Lamine Yamal, Jules Koundé, Aitana Bonmatí, and Alexia Putellas for European trips and finals.

The AMIRI FC Barcelona partnership evolved organically according to Mike Amiri who explained many players already wore his brand creating a natural connection from the start.

The collection features navy pinstripe wool suits with subtle references to Barça’s traditional garnet and blue colors individually tailored for each player.

Winter season offerings include wool six-button overcoats and double-breasted suit jackets for men while women receive single-breasted versions with gently flared pinstriped trousers.

Summer pieces incorporate lightweight knits and shirt-collar blousons inspired by sportswear translated into sophisticated formalwear.

CEO Manel del Rio emphasized the AMIRI FC Barcelona partnership represents a connection between two institutions sharing ambitions of excellence, creativity, and attention to detail.

The club believes elegance defines how they represent themselves both on and off the pitch with AMIRI’s contemporary craftsmanship aligning perfectly with their identity.

The collaboration replaces previous partnerships with Thom Browne who dressed the team from 2018-2021 and Herno whose deal ran through the 2024/25 season.

The American brand surpassed $300 million in sales during 2023 and operates thirty-one stores globally.

The AMIRI FC Barcelona partnership highlights the synergy between luxury fashion and high-performance sports through shared pursuits of perfection, mastery of craft, and championing of skill.

Mike Amiri stated soccer and fashion share spirit born from passion, precision, and creativity with each being about mastering craft and expressing identity through movement and form.

Established in Los Angeles in 2014, AMIRI has blazed a unique path partnering with athletes like Travis Kelce and Canelo Alvarez while expanding internationally with backing from Diesel and Maison Margiela owner OTB as a minority stakeholder.
