Arteta Praises Ben White’s Resilience in Arsenal’s 2-2 Draw Against Manchester City

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has showered praise on defender Ben White for his outstanding performance against Manchester City in their Premier League clash on Sunday. Arteta revealed that, despite concerns over White’s fitness, the 26-year-old right-back’s determination to play was unwavering.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Arteta said, “I spoke to Ben yesterday, I wanted to protect him, and he’s not going to ever tell you that he is not fit. He will run through a brick wall for you.” The Arsenal boss admitted his original plan was to rest White, but circumstances forced him to play, and the defender delivered a solid performance at the Etihad Stadium.

Goals from Erling Haaland, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhães, and John Stones saw the match end in an exciting 2-2 draw, with White playing a pivotal role in keeping City’s attacks at bay.

Arteta expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m very grateful because he performed very well.”
