Famous Nigerian singer Ayra Starr and South African DJ Maphorisa are among the top performers scheduled for the 2024 Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND) concert. This year’s edition of the event will take place from October 16 to 19, 2024, in Algiers, Algeria.
CANEX WKND is a premier platform that celebrates Africa’s creative and cultural industries, bringing together artists from across the continent. In addition to Ayra Starr and DJ Maphorisa, other performers include Kenyan singer Sofiya Nzau and Tinariwen, a Tuareg music group from southern Algeria’s Sahara region. South African Amapiano star Kabza De Small will also join the lineup.
Ayra Starr, who gained global recognition after releasing her hit song Bloody Samaritan in 2021, will be one of the key attractions at the event.
