Big Sean is setting the record straight about his abs—and no, they’re not fake.
The 37-year-old rapper responded to viral speculation after fitness influencer Blake Sanburg, known as @thenutritionnarc, posted a video analyzing Sean’s defined physique. In the clip, Blake claimed the rapper’s abs looked “too perfect,” suggesting he may have undergone ab etching surgery or used steroids. He even compared current photos to ones taken a decade ago, fueling the rumors.
But Big Sean wasn’t having it. Taking to the comment section, he denied any surgical enhancement, writing: “Bro, unfortunately mine are real lol. I got love for the fake [ab] community tho… but what makes this funnier is this is the way God made me.” He added humorously that when he’s out of shape, he looks like a “chewed up Tootsie Roll.”
To shut down the chatter further, Sean sent Blake a DM and clarified: “I just gained Dad weight and had to crack down on working out as I got older bro. So my body has gone through a lot lol. No surgery though. Can’t believe I have to explain myself.”
The rapper, who shares a two-year-old son Noah with longtime partner Jhené Aiko, also recently opened up about their experience with a miscarriage. In an interview with Jay Shetty, he reflected on the emotional toll and encouraged others to grieve but not lose hope, adding, “You may get blessed with a child later on… in a different way.”
While the internet continues to speculate, Big Sean is keeping it real—with his abs, his story, and his fans.
