The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the final three contenders for the prestigious CAF African Men’s Player Finalists 2025 award. The continent’s three biggest stars Mohamed Salah, Victor Osimhen, and Achraf Hakimi will now battle for the top honor at the CAF Awards ceremony in Rabat, Morocco, this Wednesday.
The finalists are: Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool), who secured the Premier League Golden Boot with 29 goals; Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/Paris Saint-Germain), who helped PSG win their first-ever UEFA Champions League title; and Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray), who led his club to a league and cup double in Turkey.
The selection panel, comprising coaches, former stars, and media, based their votes on performances between January 6 and October 15, 2025. Salah is a two-time former winner, while Osimhen is the defending champion, setting the stage for a dramatic final vote among the three CAF African Men’s Player Finalists this week.
The competition remains fierce, with each player delivering exceptional contributions for both club and country during the judging period. The unveiling of the three stars confirms the focus on elite European league success as the CAF African Men’s Player Finalists prepare for the highly anticipated gala on November 19.
