Nigerian actress and entrepreneur Carolyna Hutchings has fired back at fans threatening to withdraw their support over her actions on the Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOLagos).
Taking to her Instagram page on Tuesday, Carolyna addressed the backlash, making it clear that she would not tone down her personality for anyone.
“To those of you that want to unfan me because I ain’t what I was in Season 1, I have gotten the matches to burn the bridge. See you at dawn, sugar,” she wrote.
The reality star reminded fans that the show was about authenticity, not perfection.
“This is a reality TV show, NOT a beauty pageant or a convent/seminary. Here, we bring in the past, present, and future the way it is. I KEEP IT REAL. Energy for energy, vibes for vibes, demon for demon, angel for angel. You can choke on your negative feelings,” she added.
Carolyna made it clear she doesn’t seek public validation, stating,
“I don’t sell ice cream. You love me, I love you. You hate me, you simply don’t exist to me.”
Ongoing Feud with Dabota Lawson
Her fiery response comes amid rising tension between her and fellow cast member Dabota Lawson in the show’s third season, which premiered on January 12, 2025.
Their conflict began during Dabota’s beach getaway, where a disagreement over lateness and transportation arrangements caused friction.
Carolyna later criticized Dabota during a baking session with Laura Ikeji and Sophia Momodu, accusing Diiadem of always siding with Dabota and recalling an uncomfortable visit to Dabota’s house.
With the drama heating up, fans are torn between supporting Carolyna’s unapologetic attitude or calling her out for stirring controversy.
What do you think—Is Carolyna simply keeping it real or doing too much?
