The super-talented music powerhouse, Chidinma Ekile who burst on the
scene in 2010 after winning the 3rd edition of the West African Project
Fame competition has called it quits on her record label, Capital Hill
Records – Owned and run by ace music video director, Clarence Peters,
hip-hop rap head, Ill Bliss and music producer Tha Suspect.
Reports
reaching us that Chidinma had refused to pen down a
contract extension with the label after the expiration of her old
contract. Chidinma has been reportedly unhappy with the management of
her brand and her music direction and had decided long ago to call it
quits. Unfortunately, Chidinma isn’t the only one who has
left Capital Hill Records in recent times; Tesh Carter, Kel & Fefe
have all done been in the news for this. As of now, it is
difficult to say what will become of the label. As it seems like the
only artistes left are Ayoola (who by the way, has nothing about Capital
Hill on his social media pages), Mz Kiss and Ill Bliss. Will they throw
the blanket on functioning as a label or should we be expecting new
signings.
Surely, only time will tell.
