Captain America star Chris Evans and wife Alba Baptista welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Alma Grace Baptista Evans, on Friday, October 25, 2025, at 1:27 PM in Massachusetts.
The 44-year-old actor and 28-year-old Portuguese actress kept the pregnancy private, though pregnancy speculation began in June after Baptista’s father Luiz commented “Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming!” on a Father’s Day tribute post. Evans previously told Access Hollywood he “absolutely” wanted children, calling “the title of dad an exciting one.”
Chris and Alba married September 9, 2023, during a private Cape Cod ceremony attended by Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and John Krasinski. The couple held two wedding ceremonies—one in Portugal and another near Boston. Evans revealed he proposed in Portuguese, learning the language to ask “Will you marry me?” in her native tongue.
