Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo publicly thanked President Donald Trump after being invited to the White House for a high-profile state dinner honoring Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Ronaldo, who attended the event on Tuesday with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, later shared a message on Instagram, writing: “Thank you Mr President for your invitation and for the warm welcome you and the First Lady gave me and my future wife, @georginagio.” Ronaldo also met with Trump in the Oval Office and was presented with a symbolic Golden Key to the White House.
The White House visit underscored Ronaldo’s global stature and his influential role in Saudi football since joining Al-Nassr, a club owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
