Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has once again stirred controversy, this time appealing directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the unresolved circumstances surrounding the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike. Tagbo reportedly passed away in 2017 after allegedly consuming excessive alcohol during a night out.
Krane has repeatedly accused Afrobeat star Davido of being connected to the incident, a claim that led to his own arrest earlier this year. Since his release, Krane has maintained his stance, accusing powerful figures of using wealth to suppress the truth about the tragedy.
In his recent open letter, Krane urged the presidency to expose what he describes as “oppressors” who have buried the truth. He also hinted at a political future for Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, suggesting that he might emerge as the nation’s next leader.

Krane’s plea has sparked mixed reactions online, with many expressing skepticism or outright fatigue over his persistent allegations.
