Afrobeat superstar Davido has once again made Nigeria proud as he gains international recognition from the British royal family.
King Charles III personally invited Davido to have his music featured on a special playlist titled “King’s Music Room”, set to stream on Apple Music in celebration of Commonwealth Day 2025.
The monarch carefully selected his favorite tracks from artists across the Commonwealth, including Davido, to represent the cultural richness of the member nations. Though the exact song from Davido’s catalog was not mentioned, the king praised the power of music, saying it brings “happy memories, confidence during sadness, and lifts our spirits.”
Despite facing recent criticism from Radiogad, Davido’s global influence continues to rise, proving once again why he remains one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
