Actor Derek Dixon national TV interview Tyler Perry has made headlines as Dixon spoke candidly about his allegations against the filmmaker on ABC News Live PRIME with anchor Linsey Davis. In a preview clip from the interview, Dixon recounts a startling incident that allegedly occurred at Tyler Perry’s Atlanta home in January 2020. He says, “I got into bed … he climbed into bed with me as well and started rubbing my leg. I jumped up out of bed.”
Dixon emphasized the emotional weight of the experience, explaining: “Unless someone has been through something where they have their control over their bodies taken away, you don’t really understand the kind of feelings that you get in that moment.”
This public disclosure amplifies the civil lawsuit Dixon filed in June, accusing Tyler Perry and his studio of sexual assault, harassment, and quid pro quo violations. He’s demanding $260 million in damages.
Perry’s representatives have dismissed Dixon’s claims as “fabricated” and “part of a scam,” asserting confidence that the case will be dismissed.
Earlier, Dixon detailed the alleged pattern in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, citing instances where Perry allegedly forced himself on him during a pilot discussion and sent sexually suggestive texts, such as: “What’s it going to take for you to have guiltless sex?”
