Diddy Apologizes to Judge: “I Lost My Way” Ahead of Sentencing Today.

Sean “Diddy” Combs submitted an apologetic letter to Judge Arun Subramanian on Thursday, October 3, 2025, expressing “how sincerely sorry I am for all of the hurt and pain that I have caused” ahead of his sentencing hearing Friday in Manhattan.

In the Diddy letter to judge, the disgraced hip-hop mogul wrote “I lost my way” and begged for a “second chance” as he faces more than 11 years in federal prison. Combs was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges.

Federal prosecutors are requesting Judge Subramanian impose a sentence of more than 11 years behind bars, while Combs’ defense team is asking for just 14 months. The judge denied Combs’ request for a new trial on Tuesday, citing “overwhelming evidence” of his guilt on the prostitution convictions.

The sentencing hearing on October 4, 2025, will also consider victim impact statements from Cassie Ventura and others who testified about years of abuse. Combs has been in custody since his September 2024 arrest and appeared in court throughout his trial in summer 2025.
