Diddy Moves to Dismiss $30M Lawsuit by Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones Amid Explosive Allegations

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken legal action to dismiss a $30 million lawsuit filed against him by record producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones, who accused the star of groping, potential drug-induced assault, and other serious misconduct.

Jones initially filed the lawsuit in February, just weeks before federal agents raided two of Combs’ homes as part of an ongoing investigation into sex trafficking. In his suit, Jones alleges that he was coerced into recruiting prostitutes and engaging in sexual activities for Diddy’s pleasure, claiming he possesses hundreds of hours of video footage documenting the artist’s “serious illegal activity.” Combs, 54, has adamantly denied all allegations.

In the latest development, Combs’ legal team filed a motion in Manhattan Federal Court on Monday, aiming to dismiss Jones’ second amended complaint. The documents accuse Jones of exploiting the star for financial gain, labeling the lawsuit as a “run-of-the-mill commercial disagreement” disguised as a scandalous RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) conspiracy. Combs’ attorneys argue that the complaint, which spans nearly 100 pages, is filled with “tall tales, shameless celebrity name-drops, and irrelevant images,” failing to establish any viable claims against the defendants.

The filing also points out that Jones allegedly posted a video on social media, laughing about the lawsuit and joking about the money Diddy would owe him. Combs’ legal team claims this video is evidence that Jones’ true intent is to generate media attention and pressure the artist into a quick settlement. They further contend that Jones’ lawsuit is a “shameless attempt to create media hype” and assert that the claims of RICO conspiracy, sexual assault, and harassment are entirely fabricated.

Diddy’s legal team also addressed Jones’ argument regarding breach of an oral contract, stating that it falls outside the statute of limitations. Additionally, they noted that Jones has failed to offer a primary claim under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, which would require proof that he was forced to commit a sex act in exchange for something of value.

Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, responded to the motion, telling TMZ that Combs’ latest legal move is a “billing exercise” by his attorneys, who are attempting to dismiss the case before their client faces potential indictment.

As the legal battle continues, Diddy maintains his innocence and looks forward to disproving Jones’ allegations in court, while Jones stands by his claims of wrongdoing.
