Doechii Recovers in Style After Stage Fall at NYC Tour Stop

Grammy-winning rapper Doechii experienced a brief mishap during her New York City performance at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on October 20, 2025, but recovered seamlessly while performing “Denial is a River” on her Live From The Swamp Tour.

Doechii was performing atop a large production structure when she attempted to descend using an attached slide. She lost her footing and unintentionally slid down on her stomach, landing butt-first in front of the audience.

Despite the awkward fall, the 27-year-old never missed a lyric, continuing her performance and laughing off the moment.
Fans praised Doechii’s professionalism on social media, with one declaring “That’s a true professional! She didn’t let a little slide stop the show.

The Swamp Princess bounced right back.” Another wrote “an iconic fall and an iconic recovery, and her laugh after getting up just said ‘we fall, we slay, we get back up.’”

The Live From The Swamp Tour kicked off October 14 in Chicago and runs through November 10 in Seattle. The largely sold-out tour celebrates her Grammy-winning album “Alligator Bites Never Heal,” which earned her Best Rap Album at the 2024 Grammys.
