Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, recently opened up about his single status at the age of 41. Reacting to online speculation, Don Jazzy humorously attributed his unmarried state to being an “ashawo” (a playboy).
The conversation started when an X (formerly Twitter) user, @Ugbede_, jokingly pointed out that Don Jazzy is frequently seen following Instagram “baddies.” The user tweeted, “Once you open any baddies page on Instagram, the first thing you’ll see is ‘followed by Don Jazzy’. That man is everywhere.”
In response, Don Jazzy didn’t shy away, candidly reposting the tweet and adding, “I be ashawo na. Na why I never marry.”
When a curious fan took to the comment section to ask why he isn’t married, Don Jazzy responded with a bit more seriousness, saying, “I dey work on myself so that when my head correct, my babe go enjoy me.”
This isn’t the first time Don Jazzy has addressed his love life. In 2021, he revealed that he was once married to American model Michelle Jackson at the young age of 20. However, the marriage ended in divorce just two years later. He also debunked rumors last year that he’s secretly married with four children.
