Dr. Sid Relocates to the U.S. After Securing Job in New York

Nigerian singer, Sydney Esiri, widely known as Dr. Sid, has confirmed his relocation to the United States. Appearing on the “No Man’s Friend” podcast, the “Over The Moon” hitmaker disclosed that he left Nigeria after landing a job with a company in New York, allowing him to live anywhere in the U.S.

Dr. Sid shared, “I now live in the U.S. I left Nigeria last year after I got a job in New York, and I’ve been working here for the last year and a half. Houston, Texas, was an easy choice since I’ve got family and friends here.”

Dr. Sid, who gained prominence in 2002 as a member of Da Trybe and rose to fame with hits like “Oya” and “Don’t Stop,” paused his music career to complete his dentistry degree. He later joined Mo’ Hits Records and released his debut studio album Turning Point in 2010, which featured popular tracks like “Pop Something.”
