Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Confirmed for Release Before March 2026

Fans of the multiplayer spin-off Elden Ring Nightreign finally have a confirmed release window for the game’s first major expansion. The Elden Ring Nightreign DLC is officially scheduled to drop before the end of March 2026. This release deadline was confirmed by Kadokawa Corporation, the parent company of developer FromSoftware, in its latest financial report, which explicitly states the content is planned for their Fiscal Year 2025.

The confirmation of the Elden Ring Nightreign DLC ensures the substantial expansion will arrive in the first quarter of 2026. The base game, which features a co-op structure and procedurally generated dungeons, was a massive commercial success, selling over five million units in less than two months. Kadokawa is relying on the expansion to stimulate continued sales growth and maintain player engagement for the popular action RPG.

While precise details on the content remain scarce, the Elden Ring Nightreign DLC is expected to be a significant addition to the Lands Between. Industry analysts anticipate the expansion will introduce new playable characters, known as Nightfarers, along with a host of new and difficult boss encounters. These additions will be crucial for integrating into the game’s core high-difficulty “Deep of Night” mode.

With the release date now narrowed down to a definitive window ending in March 2026, anticipation will build dramatically across the gaming community. Many experts now expect FromSoftware to reveal a full trailer and specific launch day at The Game Awards in December. The Elden Ring Nightreign DLC is set to breathe new life into one of the year’s most surprising and successful gaming hits.
