Fuji Feud: Why Insiders Say Pasuma and Taye Currency’s Rivalry Isn’t Really Over

Fuji stars Pasuma (Wasiu Alabi Odetola) and Taye Currency (Taye Adebisi) may have quieted their public clash, but those in the know say this feud is merely on pause, not resolved. Insiders reveal that a fragile truce, brokered by legendary Fuji icon Kwam1 (Wasiu Ayinde Anifowoshe), is holding for now but doesn’t address deep-rooted tensions between the two artists.

The drama began when Taye Currency publicly criticized Pasuma, voicing years of simmering resentment. Known for his Pasuma-influenced sound, Taye Currency once embraced monikers like “Taye Paso” and “Paso Ibadan.” However, he recently downplayed their relationship, calling Pasuma merely a “colleague” – a remark that sparked outrage among their shared fanbase, many of whom were quick to call Taye “ungrateful” and “disloyal.”

According to sources, Kwam1 persuaded Pasuma to halt the escalating conflict, which included both artists’ allies publicly clashing. While Kwam1 also advised Taye Currency to make amends with Pasuma, Taye has yet to follow through. Instead, he continues to grapple with frustrations over perceived slights during his rise to fame.

Meanwhile, Alamu Agbolagade, aka “Tiri Leather,” another Fuji artist based in Ibadan, has capitalized on the rivalry. With a sound and style akin to Pasuma’s, he’s gained favor among fans who’ve distanced themselves from Taye Currency amid the dispute.

Though Pasuma has urged his fans to ease up on Taye, many remain fiercely loyal and wary of forgiving the perceived disrespect. Industry insiders warn that without genuine reconciliation, this uneasy truce could soon unravel, sparking fresh tensions in the Fuji music scene.
