Gabriel Luna gained recognition as Robbie Reyes, aka Ghost Rider, in the hit TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2016 and 2017. Since the show ended in 2020, fans have eagerly called for Luna to bring Ghost Rider back in upcoming MCU projects.
At the Ballerina premiere, Luna spoke with Brandon Davis about the strong fan demand for the character’s return. He reflected, “Maybe there’s something to it about leaving it there and having it remembered as fondly as we do.”
When Davis pointed out how wrestlers often become more popular after stepping away from the spotlight, Luna joked, “I’ll be the CM Punk of the MCU.” Punk famously left wrestling in 2014 and made a major comeback in 2021.
Fans continue to hope Luna’s Ghost Rider will roar back to life in the MCU someday.
