Berry recounted that during the show, Prince sent her a note via an assistant with the question, “Do you like me? Yes or no.” After she checked “Yes,” the assistant returned with another note asking, “Would you go out with me?”
In a twist that left many wondering, Halle admitted she didn’t respond to the second note. Instead, she chose to keep it, ultimately leaving Prince without a date. She didn’t offer an explanation for why she passed on the chance to go out with the iconic artist.
Prince, one of the most influential musicians in history, passed away in 2016 from an accidental fentanyl overdose at his Minnesota home.
