Music icon Janet Jackson recently broke her silence following the sudden passing of her brother, Tito Jackson, who died of a heart attack last month. In an emotional Instagram post, Janet shared a touching black-and-white childhood photo of them, writing, “May you rest in eternal peace. I miss you so much!”
Her sister, La Toya Jackson, joined in the remembrance by posting a video on social media, celebrating what would have been Tito’s 71st birthday. She captioned the post,
Happy Heavenly Birthday Tito! I will always love you!
Tito’s passing on September 15, during a road trip in New Mexico, left fans and family in deep sorrow. Known as a core member of the Jackson 5 and The Jacksons, Tito had continued performing, with his last show alongside his brothers, Jackie and Marlon, in August 2024.
Tito’s son, Taryll Jackson, also paid homage with a heartfelt message:
If I could have one more call, I’d tell you how much I love you… I miss you and I love you, Pops. Happy Heavenly Birthday!
Family and friends, including former Jackson 5 drummer Jonathan ‘Sugarfoot’ Moffett, expressed their sorrow, reflecting the deep impact Tito had on those around him. The Jackson family’s tributes serve as a reminder of Tito’s legacy and the love they continue to hold for him.
