Jennifer Lawrence revealed on The Graham Norton Show October 23, 2025, that she asked Die My Love co-star Robert Pattinson about Donald Trump’s infamous 2012 tweets regarding his breakup with Kristen Stewart after her cheating scandal.
“If you think I didn’t ask him about Donald Trump tweeting about the breakup with Kristen? I mean, obviously,” Lawrence joked. She recalled Trump tweeting “He better leave her! He can do better than her!” just three days after photos surfaced of Stewart kissing Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Trump posted multiple tweets at the time, including “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again just watch. He can do much better!” The presidential social media involvement became one of the most surreal aspects of the 2012 Hollywood scandal.
Jennifer Lawrence emphasized “Young people make mistakes” when discussing the incident. Both stars have since moved on Pattinson is engaged to Suki Waterhouse with whom he shares a daughter, while Stewart married screenwriter Dylan Meyer in April 2025. Die My Love releases November 7, 2025.
