over-the-top?
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, but the reality television
family is kicking off the season in a … umm … different way this year. On an E!
Special, “Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s: A Very Merry Christmas,” viewers of
the hour-long show got an inside look into how the over-the-top photo came
together.
Celebrity photographer David LaChapelle was the artistic vision behind the
photo, which typically includes a wide-shot of the family dressed to the nines
and looking very serious. This year, however, all of the men in the family
we’re left out at the request of LaChapelle, save for Bruce Jenner who insisted
he be included in the family card. The card features the women in all black
standing among broken mannequin pieces, pyramids, photos of the Kardashian
sisters and a slew of magazine covers.
Kim’s baby with rapper Kanye West was left out of the photo, although
Kourtney Kardashian’s children, Mason and Penelope, made the cut.
