Popular Nigerian skit maker and actress, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has added another feather to her cap after being named Social Media Influencer of the Year at the prestigious Independent Awards.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Kiekie shared a video recap of the event, capturing her award acceptance and a joyful moment with actress Rita Dominic.
Reflecting on the achievement, she expressed her gratitude, writing:
“On Saturday, the 15th of March 2025, I was honored with the award of Social Media Influencer of the Year 2024 at the prestigious INDEPENDENT AWARDS by @independentngr.”
She described the night as humbling, as she found herself seated among top executives, traditional rulers, governors, and senators, calling herself the youngest person at the table.
“In that moment, I felt the power in my craft one more time. I was again humbled and inspired by this girl, Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori.”
Kiekie also thanked Independent Newspapers for recognizing the efforts of content creators and shouted out her loyal fanbase, the Kiekstarters, saying:
“This thing we’re doing is 4L! We’re not ever stopping 😎‼️‼️. I love you plenty 🥰💕💕.”
This award adds to her growing list of accolades. In July 2024, she won the Force of Influence award at the Trendupp Awards, which celebrates Nigeria’s top content creators. She was also named YouTube Influencer of the Year at the 2023 Pulse Influencer Awards.
With this latest achievement, Kiekie continues to cement her status as one of Nigeria’s most influential social media personalities.
