American singer Lady Gaga recently opened up about her fears of being alone due to the overwhelming nature of her fame. In a candid interview with Vogue, the 38-year-old singer, who just announced her engagement to her boyfriend, Michael Polansky, shared how she once believed she might remain single forever.
“I kind of thought I was going to have to do this all by myself—forever. And that was really scary. Because it’s a big life. And I don’t think anyone really knows what it feels like unless you’re in it. And I don’t have to do this alone anymore,” Gaga said during the interview.
She praised her fiancé, Polansky, describing him as a “totally supportive, loving human being” who wanted to know her beyond the celebrity image of Lady Gaga. “I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me—outside of Lady Gaga,” she explained.
The singer credited her mother for introducing her to Polansky, noting that the relationship allowed her to find balance in her life after being so career-focused since her teenage years.
