Lil Baby has officially drawn the line with Gunna, making it clear the Atlanta rap duo isn’t mending fences anytime soon. In a recent interview with Charlamagne Tha God on Out of Context, the “Drip Too Hard” hitmaker opened up about their fallout, and his message left no room for doubt. When Charlamagne asked about their current dynamic, Baby didn’t hesitate: “We don’t got no relationship. Nope.”
The tension between the former collaborators has been buzzing for months, with fans dissecting every bar they drop for signs of shade. Many pointed to Lil Baby’s lyrics on “350” as a possible dig at Gunna:
“I know one day it’s gon’ hit me, bro ain’t never coming back.
Ain’t never say nothing ’bout it, n*a, you know you a rat.”
But Baby isn’t buying into the internet theories. “That’s just the internet creating narratives,” he said. “I’ve been talking about rats in my songs since day one. It’s not about nobody in particular.”
On the flip side, Gunna’s “Bread & Butter”sparked its own wave of speculation, with lyrics like:
“Peepin’ s*, I’m seein’ ns fall back.
You bh-ss ns got me as the topic of the chat.”
Fans thought it was a clapback, but Gunna brushed it off, calling it “Capp” and insisting he was just telling his story.
When Charlamagne asked if Baby would hit the studio with Gunna if Young Thug requested it, the answer was a firm no. “I don’t see that happening. I don’t know what anybody else will do, but as far as me, no,” Baby said.
For fans who once vibed to their iconic collaborations, the fallout feels like the end of an era. The duo that helped define Atlanta’s rap scene is now on separate paths, and Baby’s latest comments suggest there’s no turning back.
While Lil Baby and Gunna have undeniably shaped the culture with their hits, it’s clear they’re now moving in different directions. The Atlanta rap scene will miss their electric chemistry, but as Baby said in his own way, life moves on.
