American rap superstar Lil Baby, born Dominique Armani Jones, has sparked conversations with his recent declaration about marriage. The 30-year-old rapper revealed during a podcast interview that he has no plans to tie the knot legally, though he’s not opposed to living with a partner or having a lavish commitment ceremony.
Lil Baby explained his reasoning, emphasizing that prenuptial agreements don’t entirely protect assets after divorce. He said:
“Prenuptial doesn’t mean you can marry a woman and she won’t get anything after divorce. There are ways for her to get something regardless.”
However, he’s willing to go all out on non-legal commitments:
I’ll give a girl a $10M ring, a $10M wedding, but no paperwork. I would vow ’till death do us part,’ we get married, but no paperwork.
Despite his firm stance, Lil Baby admitted his perspective might evolve with age:
“That could change when I get older.”
Fans and social media users have since debated his take, with some supporting his approach to avoiding legal entanglements while others argue that true commitment requires legality.
While Lil Baby may not be walking down a legal aisle anytime soon, his openness to love—on his terms—has once again placed him at the center of public discourse.
