Love Island star Dejon Noel-Williams is setting the record straight after facing backlash over his treatment of girlfriend Megan Moore in the villa. The 27-year-old personal trainer took to Instagram to remind fans that he’s a real person with real feelings — not just a character crafted for reality TV drama.
“I’ve stayed quiet, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t affected me,” Dejon wrote. “I hold myself accountable for my communication, and every day I’m growing. I’m not just a character on a reality show — I’m a human being with real emotions. Some of the stuff I’ve seen said about me has been hard to deal with and is far from the truth.”
Opening up about how he’s been coping, Dejon revealed that exercise has been his escape. “Running, training, pushing myself when everything in my head feels heavy… it clears my mind, helps me breathe, reminds me of who I am outside of the noise.”
Since being dumped from the villa, Dejon admitted he’s been reflecting on his actions — especially after hearing the reasons behind his and Meg’s eviction. While he acknowledges he could have been “less flirty” with other Islanders, he insists Meg was always his strongest connection and is grateful she stood by him.
Now, Dejon says he’s focused on showing Meg — and the world — who he really is beyond the Love Island cameras.
