Marvel is back to shake up the multiverse with What If…? Season 3, and this time, it’s bigger, bolder, and even more bizarre. Dropping on Disney+ on December 22, the new season promises eight wild episodes packed with mech battles, cowboy showdowns, and unexpected love stories.
The episode titles alone give fans a taste of the madness. Kicking things off with “The Hulk Fought the Mech Avengers,” the Avengers transform into Gundam-style mech warriors to face the unstoppable Hulk—think Marvel meets Pacific Rim. Then, there’s “1872,” a Western-inspired twist that puts a cowboy spin on Shang-Chi and Marvel’s heroes, turning the multiverse into a full-blown saloon showdown.
But it doesn’t stop there. Fans can look forward to “Howard the Duck Got Hitched?”, a quirky wedding special starring Marvel’s favorite oddball, proving once again that What If…? can make the unthinkable happen. The season finale, cryptically titled “What If…? ‘What If…?’”, promises to leave fans scratching their heads and wanting more multiversal chaos.
The new season also brings back fan-favorite characters like Peggy Carter, Nebula, and Vision, alongside iconic villains like Dormammu and The Grandmaster. Michael Rooker returns as Yondu, while Marvel’s X-Men get a surprise introduction with Storm taking on the role of the Goddess of Thunder.
