Nigerian gospel star Mercy Chinwo has reconciled with her former manager and record label boss, Eezee Tee, months after a heated public fallout over alleged unpaid royalties.
The peace announcement came on Friday, August 8, courtesy of social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, who had been a vocal supporter of Eezee Tee during the dispute. Chinwo had earlier accused him of misappropriating $345,000 in music royalties — a claim that stirred major controversy online.
According to VeryDarkMan, the reconciliation was brokered by several “spiritual fathers” and bishops, with both parties signing official agreements to end the feud.
“Finally, in the Mercy Chinwo and Eezee Tee matter, with the help of some spiritual fathers and bishops, they have signed the agreement and settled. My work is done, and I’m proud I stood up for a man I believed was oppressed,” he said, adding that his efforts were genuine and not financially motivated.
The development follows an earlier move in July, when Nancy Nnadi, Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz Limited, publicly retracted her alleged defamatory remarks against Chinwo — a step many saw as paving the way for peace.
The announcement has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some praising the settlement and others questioning the dynamics behind it.
