Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Rolls Out Update to Fix Stability Issues

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has received a significant update to resolve the “stability issues” players encountered at launch. The game, which debuted on November 19, 2024, faced server performance problems as high demand led to access and streaming difficulties.

Developer Asobo Studio has now deployed a patch that enhances the simulator’s server capacity, improving distribution layers and addressing the initial connectivity issues. In a blog post, Asobo confirmed that “the issues regarding access and streaming have been resolved,” with reliability now reaching “above 99.999 percent.”

The update aims to ensure a smoother experience for fans, allowing them to take to the skies without performance problems. Asobo also teased further improvements in upcoming patches, with a second update scheduled for December 2, 2024, which will bring “further stability improvements and other fixes.”

Additionally, a third, larger patch is expected during the week of December 9, which will introduce the ability to disable or enable content freely, as well as a “safe boot” option to disable third-party content if the game crashes during startup.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
