BTS member Min Yoongi (SUGA) has prepared a special video message for the participants of the inaugural “Shining MINDs” concert, taking place today, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Yonsei University in Seoul. The event celebrates the first public performance of children undergoing music therapy at the Min Yoongi Treatment Center, the specialized facility he funded with a massive 5 billion KRW donation to Severance Hospital.
The MIND Program (Music, Interaction, Network, and Diversity), which uses music as a core tool to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) express emotion and build social skills, is at the heart of the concert. Though currently serving in his military capacity, Yoongi’s message is expected to offer profound encouragement, recognizing the bravery and significant progress the children have made. Reports of his personal involvement where he volunteered on weekends to teach guitar and engage with the children rhythmically during the program’s early stages will make his video tribute all the more impactful.
Beyond celebrating the children, the concert highlights the commitment of the entire community. The event features a special performance by the SUGA Crew (the live band from his global Agust D Tour D-DAY), underscoring the star’s determination to utilize his own network to support the cause. Furthermore, every single won from the ticket sales is dedicated to supporting the long-term therapy costs and the ongoing operations of the Min Yoongi Treatment Center.
The “Shining MINDs” concert is a powerful real-world demonstration of Min Yoongi’s vision: that music can open doors where words cannot. The highly anticipated video message will not only congratulate the young performers but also serve as a vital piece of advocacy, urging the public toward greater awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for children with autism and showcasing the transformative power of compassionate philanthropy.
