“Moon Knight’s Mysterious MCU Future: Where Will Oscar Isaac’s Vigilante Land Next?”

Disney’s handling of Marvel TV has been all over the place in recent years. Between one-off miniseries, movie setups, and cancellations, only a handful of shows feel like actual television. One of the biggest question marks? Moon Knight. But instead of getting a long-awaited Season 2, Marvel Studios has different plans for Oscar Isaac’s dark and complex hero.

Marvel’s TV Shift & Moon Knight’s Future

Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum recently shed light on what’s next for Moon Knight, revealing that while there’s no second season yet, the character is far from forgotten.

“Moon Knight happened in a wave of shows that were going to establish characters that would tie into the future,” Winderbaum explained. “Moving forward, our priorities have shifted… I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.”

So what does that mean? Marvel has been folding its Disney+ characters into movies, like:

WandaVision → Wanda in Multiverse of Madness

Falcon & Winter Soldier → Sam in Brave New World, Bucky in Thunderbolts

Ms. Marvel → Kamala in The Marvels

Secret Invasion → Nick Fury in The Marvels

Hawkeye → Kate Bishop teased for Young Avengers

Now, the question is: Where does Moon Knight fit?

Midnight Sons or The Defenders?

The strongest rumor points to Moon Knight joining the Midnight Sons, Marvel’s supernatural anti-hero team. Reports say a Midnight Sons movie is in development, though its timeline is unclear. If Marvel follows its comics lineup, the team could include:

Blade (whose solo movie is still in development)

Doctor Strange

Elsa Bloodstone

Doctor Voodoo

Wong

Moon Knight

Other past members include Ghost Rider and Morbius (Yes, Sony’s Morbius… but let’s not go there).

Another possibility? Moon Knight shifts to MCU’s “street-level” heroes, despite, you know, being the avatar of an ancient Egyptian god. In the comics, he briefly joined The Defenders, which could bring him into Marvel’s Daredevil revival alongside Kingpin, Jessica Jones, and others.

What’s Next?

While a full Moon Knight Season 2 isn’t happening (yet), Marvel clearly has long-term plans for Oscar Isaac’s brooding vigilante. Whether it’s in Midnight Sons, a Defenders revival, or another unexpected crossover, fans will have to wait and see where he lands in the ever-shifting MCU.
