Sometimes, one just does amazing things when in love. But then again,
things get more interesting if you’re angry. And that’s just what Nicki Minaj did during a concert, regarding her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, Minaj was onstage performing
in the Bud Light House of Whatever party in Phoenix, Arizona. And right
from there, Minaj asked, from out of nowhere, if men are liars, and
added that they aren’t loyal and that they’ll just cheat on you. This
then led to a loud round of bashing and booing from the male half of the
venue.
Minaj went on her tirade, saying, “Motherf***as get where
they going and then they wanna leave yo ass when they get there. About
Motherf***as that don’t know how to appreciate a motherf***ing good
thing until it’s gone.”
After taking her anger out on
the crowd, Minaj asked, “Hey guys are you going home with your main chick or your side piece?” which fortunately made the audience laugh and took it as a good sign for her to get back at singing.
Not surprisingly, Minaj’s tirade was immediately pointed back to Samuels,
with whom she spent 12 years of on-and-off relationship before he
finally broke things off. One could say that her recent outburst was her
response to a recent interview that Samuels just had about her.
In a radio interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, Jan. 13, Samuels was asked of his relationship and eventual break-up with Minaj. Samuels
was among the executive producers of Minaj’s hit album, “Pink Friday.”
And apparently, after working together, he felt that their romantic
relationship turned into a professional relationship.
“I just got
to the point where the respect wasn’t there. Everyone around her works
for her, you know? So it got to the point where it was like, ‘I’m your
man. I’m who you go to sleep with every night. I’m who you wake up with
every morning.’ And it got to the point where I was being treated like
an employee, instead of like her man.”
