You’d be forgiven for thinking that this gold-covered gent was just a street performer attempting to impress the crowds.
But actually there’s someone far more familiar lurking underneath the
mask and shades – in the shape of chart-topping singer Usher.
Yes, the R&B star initially kept the crowds fooled as he threw a
few shapes during the unlikely performance in Venice Beach, California.
But eventually he revealed his true identity – much to the delight of those watching.
The singer pulled the stunt as part of Mastercard’s Priceless
Surprise campaign – which saw a fan
jetting out to Los Angeles to take
part in what she thought was a documentary about the singer.
Except – unbeknown to her – she actually ended up starring in a video with him instead.
Usher’s likely to be a busy boy in the coming weeks, with his eighth
studio album UR on the way, as well as a forthcoming appearance at the
Grammy Awards.
The singer will perform a new track from the album at the ceremony on
February 8 – where he’ll be hoping to take home gold in two categories –
best R&B performance and best R&B song.
